The clocks have gone back, the evenings are drawing in and while it seems like an awfully long time since we were all running around our beautiful valley in the Herefordshire countryside, rest assured that here at BCHQ we're hard at work planning next year's festival and it's already shaping up to be very special indeed. We're itching to spill the beans and tell you more, but we've been sworn to secrecy for now. But, we can officially reveal that tickets for The Big Chill 2010 will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday 28th October - hurrah! Early bird tickets will be available at the 2009 price of £145 until December 31st, and once again there's a deposit scheme if you want to spread the cost of your tickets. Are you a winner?

We'd like to say a very big thank you to everybody who took the time to complete our post-festival survey this year. We've had an overwhelming response, with thousands of you letting us know just what you thought of this year's festival and how we can make 2010 even better still. Of course, there was a nice incentive to complete the survey - tickets for next year's festival!

We'd like to congratulate; Julie Hawkes, Jon Hickman, Caroline Leeming, James Nott and Jason Maxwell, who each win a pair of tickets for The Big Chill 2010, as well as runners up; Nela Geuer, Jane Brockway, Heather Wilson, Chris Glover and Dominic Pinkney, who each win a copy of The Big Chill Summer Living book.

October 31st, the spookiest night of the year, is nearly upon us, so we've been stocking up on the fake blood, deliciously dangerous DJs and Halloween inspired cocktails in preparation, as I Spit On Your Rave heads to all three Big Chill venues. Professional make-up artists will be on hand to zombifie you for a small fee, with all donations going to the Big Issue and Temwa. There'll be prizes for the best dressed zombies in each venue, including a chance to win a Big Chill Loyalty card loaded up with 200 Chill Points (that's £200 to you and me!) for use at any of the bars. And remember, if you can't make it along, you can tune in to the action live at www.awdio.com.

Have you been finding yourself pining for Eastnor? We have, so we've added a whole load more music and videos from this year's festival to the website keep you going through the winter. There's a mammoth 4 hour mix by Mr Scruff, Red Rack'ems Big Chill Radio show and an interview with re-edit champion, Greg Wilson (as well as another chance to download his closing set from the festival). We've uploaded some more photos, new footage and we've even raided the archives and dug out some vintage videos from Big Chill's past - enjoy!
