Chilli Dog

Having had a tremendous run of Monday nights, Chilli Dog – the Big Chill’s South London residency – reaches the end of its season. Following the success of its six month stint, residents Pete Lawrence and Lol Hammond will be taking a break over the summer in order to concentrate on the Enchanted Garden, Eastnor Castle and Naxos events.
The last Chilli Dog (for now) will take place on Monday 24 June, with Boomclick and Annie Gleadow as the special guests. For those who wish to know what they have been missing, here is the line-up for the previous two months:

For the Big Chill’s Pete Lawrence, Chilli Dog has exceeded his expectations. ‘The Monday social has been a highlight of the first six months for me, and has really brought together a Big Chill community. There have been some unforgettable moments too – who could forget both Open Dex nights – Sh*t Bob’s standing ovation, the packed house for the jubilee weekend, and many other fine nights with some terrific and always interesting guests. It has been especially pleasing to be able to programme The Big Chill’s ‘new breed’ of DJs, who may not get much of a chance to play out otherwise.″
″The intention was always to do a short-ish season and six months have just flown by. But as Sunflower Kate says on our forum ″absence makes the heart grow fonder″ and it’s easy to overdo a good thing! Truth is we’re all completely run off our feet over the summer months, when it’s difficult getting people into smokey indoor venues anyway, but we’re looking to bring back the Big Chill weekly social in some shape or form later in year.
