Summer’s coming and the living is getting easier. Tickets are already sold out for The Big Chill’s sole UK festival of 2003. While the Enchanted Garden Dorset site enjoys a breather this year, all focus is on this 2nd annual trip to the idyllic Malvern Hills.
A mini-break offering staple Big Chillin’ with: friendly folk, exotic (British) countryside, handpicked high profile / new live artists and DJs (downtempo to upbeat breaks, jazz, rare groove, house and hip hop) – first line up confirmations have been announced – follow the link below…not forgetting the French sausages in red wine, the Sanctuary stage, ducks, comedy, spoken word & poetry, multi-media, the pie van, night time arts trail, international cuisine, pub prices, cocktail bars, 24 hour café, Big Chill FM and a lot more.
Hitting 90 degree highs here last August’s spoilt us! But regardless of a repeat show of sun, chilling will be a breeze this year. The horizontally challenged will have their dance tent and a newly designed, speaker-lined 24 hour café. Families get their kids tent and bouncy play things. Music lovers enjoy 24/7 entertainments, and camping areas cater for peace lovers and the party people.
The site boasts four small lakes, thick woods and an arboretum, all set near Eastnor castle, in rolling hills in the golden valleys of deepest Herefordshire. Despite its idyllic location it is only minutes away from the M5 / M50 junction just north of Cheltenham / Gloucester.
PLUS – new for 2003! – you can now camp an EXTRA day at Eastnor, giving you even more time in those gorgeous grounds – for the same price!
The Big Chill has this year extended the site access time to Thursday 31st of July with Hereford Council, Police and Highways Department. This will mean that you can now have four days of Chill instead of three (for the same price) if you should so desire!
Access will be from 10am on the Thursday and although no entertainment will be offered that day, the 24 hour cafe and a bar will be open at the site. It will also give all ticket holders a chance to set up early in order to enjoy every minute of the festival as well as another full day’s relaxation in beautiful Eastnor for the same ticket fee.
