Oooh la la, 4Hero AND Fragile State. Why, ambassador, you are spoiling us!!
Marc Mac and Dego of the mighty 4Hero totally transform the dream like original version (available on the b-side) and turn their mix of ‘Everyday A Story’ into a beefed up, funked up chugger. Starting off with thin drums and some nice tide-like washes, then getting down with a bouncy b-line and some lovely Rhodes twinkling.
On further listening, it also has a few morsels of latino qualites to it, in a vaguely Naked Music kinda way. And – shock of shocks! – I think you could even dance to this. DJs wanting to shift to tempo from low to mid in style and without clearing the floor should definitely include this in their boxes.
Why Fragile State aren’t huge yet is anyones guess, I love ‘em. Dear Santa (and Ben and Neil of Fragile State)
