MILKSHAKE!

MILKSHAKE! SHAKE IT ABOUT – FOR CHARITY

This weekend sees a charity event – Milkshake – take over The Big Chill’s regular London venue Cargo. And you could be forgiven for thinking that it is a Big Chill event (it’s not) due to the calibre of the guests performing which include the likes of popular Big Chill names Tom Middleton, Amukidi and Boomclick.

The event is produced by ‘Collusion Events’, a group of friends who met through The Big Chill who are committed to raising money for charities, this time for Clic (a Children’s cancer charity). And it’s an impressive line-up for the price of a £7 ticket (with most of that going directly to the charity, as the artists are not getting paid, and the venue took a large cut). Even the most hard-hearted would find forking out for this lot a top notch bargain!

Headline DJ is Tom Middleton, who brought The Big Chill’s 10th Birthday Party to a fitting climax at the Union Chapel on Sunday 28th February, while TM Juke will also join him on the decks. Also playing is Boomclick, who are celebrating the release of their new single ‘Follow Love’. The Breakin’ Even Collective are also appearing live. Compering at the event is none other than MC Netje from The Sanctuary stage at Eastnor 2004. And visuals by We Make Telly, Amukidi and Myogenic complete the stellar cast.

And on top of that, Milk Shake cocktails and penny sweets will be provided by da Milk Monitors; while Indian Head Massage, Shiatsu, Reflexology and Reiki and other hippy treats will also be on offer. Plus, there’s a raffle with some fantabulous prizes including A PAIR OF EASTNOR 2004 TICKETS!
