NUPOETICS WANT YOUR WORDS!
July 23rd, 2004 by susanna
The NuPoetics collective believe everyone has a story in them, a yarn to spin or a verse to share. So it’s natural the gang were keen to host a ’round the campfire’ literary-cum-storytelling session at Eastnor on Saturday night (from 9pm in the Art Trail) as part of this year’s Chillers’ Spaces initiative.
They’re now inviting you to join them, especially if you have a penchant for putting pen to paper. Bring your short stories and poems to share them with the group.
As they say: “What is poetry? Well that’s for you to decide. As one might find it in the lines of a song another may find it in the narrative of a film, so we blur the boundaries and go back to basics expressing our ideas using the oldest audio acoustic device of them all – our voices. The result we hope will have you raising a smile or even shedding a tear as we go on a mission to search out the best in free form story telling.”
If you fancy joining NuPoetics for some laid back story telling or just fancy getting your work to a wider audience get scribbling and post it either to andrea.burns@nupoetics.com or on The Big Chill Forum.
