TOM MIDDLETON & BOOMCLICK MAKE A TOP SUNDAY ROAST
November 1st, 2004 by susanna
“Scrap the 5th, remember, remember the 7th of November,” say ‘Partners in Party’ who are presenting ‘Sunday’s Roast’ at Cargo (www.cargo-london.com) raising money for Action Aid (www.actionaid.org.uk) featuring a bunch of favourite Big Chill acts.
Take your pick from:
The Buckmeister Fresh aka CL-1 aka Jam Master Sticky – known for his eclectic mixes and superior knowledge of all things dance and cheese.
Tom Middleton, one of the Jedi Knights, who’ll be taking everybody in his hands and kneading ‘em to a groovy consistency with an electro funk set
Boomclick (www.boomclick.com) who”ll be offering up a sniff and a cheeky bite of their new album ‘Half Way Between Tomorrow and Yesterday’.
DJ Kieran Hebden, best known for his genius noise as Fourtet (www.fourtet.net), who”ll step up to the decks with a very special set.
Fat Camp DJ duo (Theo Noble & Bill Brewster) will bring their magical disco funk dex ‘n’ FX while Peepshow Paddy (www.thepeepshow.co.uk) will be taking a break from his own regular Oxford soiree ‘The Peepshow’ to take to the decks.
Plus – some of the best VJs around on the club scene today: Sublime Visual, Twistidd, dr.mo, Visibel, We Make Telly and Soxan (www.soxan.co.uk) regulars Mach V and Mondo.
All profits from the party will go to ActionAid (Registered Charity No. 274467), an international charity working in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, listening to, learning from and working in partnership with over nine million of the worlds poorest people.
