THANK-YOU FROM FRIENDS OF THE EARTH

August 22nd, 2005 by rui

THANK-YOU FROM FRIENDS OF THE EARTHA post-festival message from Friends of the Earth, who hosted a ‘Climate Change’ session, which was part of the Words in Motion/Public Libraries events at Eastnor…

[b]I just want to say a big thank you for inviting us along to The Big Chill to host the Climate Change session. Realising that the big chillers probably wouldn’t want to listen to us talk about climate change for 2 hours, we decided instead to enable people to express their climate concerns through the power of paint.

Not only are the paintings pretty damn cool, but they will also form part of a mass artwork which will be presented to ministers at the International Climate Talks in November, alongside 4,000 other paintings collected from all over Europe.

We were really chuffed with how it all went & recieved a really good response from all the Big Chillers who came along. Attached is a picture of the paintings which are currently displayed up on our rooftop garden, hope you like them.

Thanks again, it was a quality weekend.
