NICK LUSCOMBE
October 4th, 2005 by rui
“Peelie, Charlie, Gilles, Annie…Nick Luscombe has become one of those radio titans.” (Straight No Chaser)
One of the UKs most influential radio DJs with his long running weekly Flo-Motion show on XFM. Since 2000 he has pioneered a compelling blend of deep club music incorporating elements of electronica, moody techno, jazz and downtempo soul, with his selections also journeying into the more experimental elements of modern music. Nick is also the man behind the popular folk inspired ICA club night, Roots and Shoots.

When did you first encounter The Big Chill and what mental image do

offer to buy you a drink, what would you ask for?
It’s gotta be the Portobello Mushroom Burger – (see above!!) I’ll have a mojito thanks!

Well the coolest thing was when we recently had the launch party for Flo-Motion Volume 2. Johnny Trunk played a lovely set of amazing records, followed by a deep electronic laptop performance from Nathan Fake.

For music I’m really into www.thinnerism.net. Love the phonica and smallfish websites too.
I also like Julian Cope’s website www.headheritage.co.uk/
