‘Electronic soundscapes meet diverse world percussion’
A unique collaboration of diverse rhythmic and sonic influences produced by 2 visionary artists. There have been very few projects that bring together such strands of work so cohesively and convincingly. The digital media artistry of Scanner is complemented by the virtuosic world/ethnic percussion of Pete Lockett, and set against shifting and haunting visuals. Different cultures are brought together onto one stage. The grooves of traditional Indian tabla & kanjira, Latin bongos & African djembe are melded together with state-of-the art technology, samples and special FX, morphed into different soundscapes, and lent a new perspective and dimension. The old and the new are integrated, forming a wholly innovative forward-looking, cutting-edge sonic experience.
The artists have produced their own CD (autek – available from posteverything.com) The CD features American trumpet legend, Jon Hassell.
