Howard Monk is a drummer, booking agent, promoter of The Local in Crouch End, North London, which has been called “Later with Jools Holland crossed with Phoenix nights” by Time Out Magazine, and now, compére.
He’s currently playing with The Memory Band, Singing Adams, and Barbarossa but his credit list includes Billy Mahonie, Cass McCombs, King Creosote, Pictish Trail and many more.
Howard started Knom Music, a London promotion and booking agency in 2002 and Knom continue to stage some of the best shows in London (including The Local) and tours around the UK.
