One of London’s premier funk and beats labels, Skyline records make their Big Chill House debut with a solid line up of DJs. Previously signed to Ninja Tune, The Herbaliser have recently released a brand new album on K7. Original b-boy and DJ extraordinaire Ollie Teeba is a deft hand at rocking hip hop, funk and breakbeats. Gerald Jazzman is without doubt one of the most dedicated record collectors in the world, so don’t miss this opportunity to catch his rare soul, funk and dancefloor jazz!

Plymouths self confessed 14th best DJ Aldo Vanucci returns with another jam packed house party (no party sausages unfortunately though). Joining him on the night is Brighton’s finest beat freak and possibly the man who has released a tune on the most labels this year – Featurecast. Expect crowd-pleasing hip hop, RnB, funk, drum and bass and disco.

Brightons finest merchants of low slung funk return once again for their Big Chill House residency. Following jam packed nights for Nostalgia 77, Natural Self and Hint, this time label boss Rob Luis takes the reigns for the whole night for a rare 6 hour set. A fan of all types of music, expect to be dazzled by a wide range of beaty treats.

Another mixtape king to grace the decks at Main Squeeze this month as they welcome underground hip hop supremo Chris Read to the House. A collector and fan of all things hip hop, Chris recently completed “The Diary” – a mindblowing mix CD charting the history of hip hop over the last 30 years! Dropping a special party set, this is sure to get your head nodding and feet shaking!

NICE UP! present BENNY PAGE (DIGITAL SOUNDBOY) and JSTAR & MC HONEY BROWN

Another bumper line up on a Friday night, this time the NICE UP! crew invite drum and bass/dubstep hero Benny Page to come and blow the joint. After a series of reggae tinged drum and bass monsters, he has slowly been building his rep as one of the toughest new producers on the scene, as well as dipping his toe into dubstep. Joining him, alongside resident DJ Shepdog is reggae/hip hop mash up don Jstar and his crowd hyping sidekick MC Honey Brown. Never ones to play it safe, they always NICE UP! the dance good and proper.

Upstairs, festival favourites The Disco Shed Soundsystem bring their unique brand of shedonistic disco, funk, singalong classics and perhaps the odd garden gnome or 2. Just the recipe for getting shedded!

SCRATCH present DJ VADIM

One of the UKs most enigmatic and unique producers, DJ Vadim has a rich and deep musical heritage. One of the founder members of Jazz Fudge records, he was responsible for launching many UK hip hop stars. Along the years he has recorded under many different pseudonyms, such as One Self and The Isolationist to name but a few. Always out in his own field, his DJ sets make a similar impression. He is joined this evening by residents Matt Smooth, Brother Frain, Lyley and host MC Tukka.
