Sweet Dreams – Sunday Driver

Another fave from 2006. Kat Arney’s haunting harp plucks its way through a melancholy chord progression. Meanwhile a fragile, wavering vocal from Dr C. Nath sings about about not having sweet dreams torn in two. Beautifully arranged, with acoustic guitar joing the harp on the second verse.
The wordless third verse brings in backing vocals that sounds a lot like the theme tune to ‘The Gentle Touch’, as the song crescendos to a heart-wrenching climax, then fades.
