YamYam – The Album

After years in the pipeline, the debut YamYam album is almost here!
Guy Morley (DJ Yam) and Rick Turner started writing Afrocentric music together in early 90′s Manchester, bringing together breakbeats, percussion, Afro guitar hooks and a dose of electronic dance music. Diggers may have caught early early YamYam material on Nation records, or the influential Codek label, from New York, while Big Chill regulars may well have had a taste of YamYam’s flavour after live and DJ appearences at previous Big Chill festivals (including opening the Open Air Stage on Saturday at this years Eastnor).
Upbeat, funky, and more than anything – dancable, look out for the YamYam album from September.
