Slowburn Launch – 12th March

David Bickley and Dare Mason (aka FOLD), launch their debut album ‘Slowburn’ at The Big Chill House on Wednesday, 12th March. We catch up with David Bickley, ahead of the launch party for ‘Slowburn’, the debut album from his latest project ‘FOLD’.
What can we expect from the launch party?
Live guitar and synth over backing tracks of our album – chilled out ambience progressing to funky, hard-edged grooves. We tend towards the trippy and psychedelic, whilst some of our instrumentation and melodic structure betray our celtic influences.
I’ll be on live mixing and effects and Dare Mason will play his Fender Stratocaster. There will also be guest appearances from Tom Green (Another Fine Day) on synth, Duncan Bridgeman (1 Giant Leap) on flute, Andy Sliwa on congas, Tony King on trumpet, Martin Bowie on guitar and Lady Sam on vocals.
If money was no object, and you could book any line-up of DJs and bands living or dead, who would play?
Jimi Hendrix, Jon Hassell, Brian Eno, Kate Bush, Lee Scratch Perry on the decks.

What are you working on at present?
Dare is working on album by Marty Willson-Piper (The Church). David is working on The Dead Sea, an art installation for the Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh, Co Cork.
