Animat Rescore Tour

Longtime Big Chill favourites Animat are on the cusp of releasing their latest long player ‘Earplay’ on Big Chill Recordings (out July 28th). Ahead of that, they are touring their fabulous rescore of David Lynch’s ‘The Straight Story’ around the UK.
The ultimate chilled road movie, the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated The Straight Story tells the tale of one man and his lawnmower and their epic journey across America’s mid-west.
David Lynch has given his approval to the screenings and the new soundtrack. Animat will be donating releasing a a percentage of any profits from the performances to the David Lynch Foundation – www.davidlynchfoundation.org

Animat – brief biography
Animat have been producing music together since 2004. The core team of Mark Daly (aka Soyo) and The Only Michael have collaborated with a range of guest vocalists including Sanchita Farruque and Anne Garner, and have worked with remixers including Digitonal, Dollboy and Boomclick Soundsystem. They have performed regularly at the Big Chill festival and at other festivals, clubs, cinemas and galleries throughout the UK and Europe.
