Arnab Chanda - Biography
Arnab Chanda was born & lived in England for 6 years, and then spent 1 year in India, 8 years in Saudi Arabia and 8 years in the U.S. He started his career as a comedian in New York City and after moving permanently back to London in August 2004, quickly established himself as one of the circuit’s most promising newcomers.
After winning the Jongleurs New Act Competition in 2005, Arnab went on to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the sell-out Edinburgh stand-up showcase The Comedy Bucket and also beat over 500 contestants to win the prestigious Amused Moose Comedy Awards in 2006.
He has appeared on Jane’s New York (NBC), The Anita Rani Show (BBC Asian Network), Out to Lunch (BBC Radio 2) and is also involved in writing for various other radio shows.
Arnab performs at comedy clubs throughout the U.K. including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, the Avalon Comedy Network, Up the Creek, Amused Moose, Downstairs at the Kings Head, Lee Hurst’s Backyard Club, Glee Club and various venues for Off The Kerb Productions.
His other festival performances have included the Paramount Comedy Festival , Brighton in 2006, Leicester Comedy Festival, the Latitude Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007.
