IG Culture – Biography
One of the key pioneers of the West London broken beat sound, Ian Grant has been kicking around on the music scene since the early 90’s, first as one half of the rap duo Dodge City Productions, and then in the late 90’s he formed New Sector Movements, a collaborative group combining the talents of several members of the broken beat community. Culture’s productions are all about rhythm and hybridizations of several music genres, such as jazz-fusion, funk and soul. Over the years he’s remixed the likes of Digital Underground, Gang Starr, 4 Hero, and Bugz In The Attic.
