King’s Crossover NYE 2008
October 24th, 2008 by sparky
King’s Crossover - A fun-size festival celebrating New Year’s Eve, at The Big Chill House and Camino, with White Mischief and Sancho Panza.
The King’s Crossover is bringing carnival and cabaret to north London, with an extravaganza of entertainment on both sides of Pentonville Road.

On one side of the road Sancho Panza will be bringing the flavour of carnival to Big Chill House. Famed for over 15 years of summer boat parties, as well as a massive rocking stage at Notting Hill Carnival, their energy to create fantastic and joyful events is undiminished. The Panza boys will be rummaging deep in dusty boxes and promising a true party-set spanning the history of their hedonism. In addition Sancho Panza are bringing in their own AV crew to paint the space in light, transforming The Big Chill House and bringing revellers a constant selection of visual treats.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Pentonville Road, ‘Observer Best Bar of 2008’ Camino will be transformed into a retro Latin fiesta courtesy of White Mischief, the leading light on London’s New Vaudeville scene. The residents of this Hispanic hothouse will include Spanish snake dancers and sword fighters, while Tango partners whirl across the open-air courtyard amidst fire-breathers. Live musicians will entertain until midnight, when a DJ will take to the decks. Jazz, blues, rock’n’roll and Latino will provide the soundtrack to the combination of circus, cabaret, comedy, interactive theatre and plenty of surprises.
