Saw Pharoah Sanders at The Blue Note in NYC last year and he blew me away. His playing, as intense as his eyes, captivated everybody in the place, so that we seemed to be holding our breath until the end of each track. Mesmerising and a massive coup for BC09. I can’t wait.
