Big Chillers are to be given the opportunity of a lifetime at this year’s festival. Photographer Rankin has announced that he will be calling on festival-goers to be part of his museum scale exhibition Rankin Live! a major photographic exhibition where he will take pictures of 1000 Britons through the summer in Brick Lane, London, and at The Big
Chill.
After the grand opening of Rankin Live! in London on July 31st, the iconic photographer is heading down to Eastnor for two days. Festival-goers are invited to take part in his unique live and interactive exhibition concept and be shot as part of a live photo-shoot during the festival. With each picture costing only £50, Big Chillers can have their portrait taken by one of the world’s top photographers and help raising funds for Oxfam. And if that isn’t enough, The Big Chill and Rankin Live! have teamed up with MySpace to offer one musician or band the chance of a lifetime – festival tickets to The Big Chill, a shoot with Rankin and even a slot to play a half hour slot on Friday before Wonky Pop takeover The Coop!
Opening on July 1st at www.myspace.com/rankinlive, this is a money can’t buy chance to get your mug made beautiful by the man who launch Dazed and Confused and shot the likes of U2, Jarvis Cocker, Madonna, Oasis, Verve and Bjork
Rankin says: “I can’t think of a better festival to capture a sense of festival goers style and individuality – The Big Chill has the perfect atmosphere to capture some great images and embodies the same ethos of celebration and fun as the Rankin Live project We’re really looking forward to joining everyone at Eastnor this August.”

We are a 20+ piece samba band, who are moving into an electro-bateria. It’s new, exciting and would be a fantastic addition to your festival! Our colours are black and orange. The website is a little out of date, but I can send you a DVD of our Brighton Fringe Festival gig in May 2009, if interested.

I Wwould relish the oppotunity to work with Rankin because he has a wealth of experience but he’s even more relevant today. He recently photographed friends of mine The Noisettes who are very much on the up but he’s also worked with legends like Queen. The Big Chill would be a superb environment to do a shoot and I’m just finishing my sophomore album and need some photos for the album artwork – it would be amazing!!!!

Hey! Im fat, forty and don’t give ’4X’ for nothing except to rank up Rankin at the Big Chill with my open air dance club sounds, got new track played at KADOC in Algarve last year by Bob Sinclare, to 10,000 people, he mixed it up a bit! happy about that. Can mix up Rankin a bit, a big bloke ain’t easy to photo, so here’s the challenge, make me look slimmer! Im a mean rock guitarist played and supported the best. ‘Rank me up Rankin’
