The Big Chill Bristol is coming!

September 16th, 2009 by

5214_102224767653_101956582653_2134949_6920540_n1The Big Chill Bristol opens to the public at 8pm on October 8th, with a very special guest DJ from this year’s festival bringing the magic of Eastnor to our launch party. But that’s not all… to celebrate the opening of the bar, we’re giving away drinks on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – to get yours, simply sign up to the Big Chill Bristol mailing list and download your voucher!

Spearheaded by local promoters Dave Smeaton and James Savage, who have been running sterling bars in the area for 20 years, The Big Chill Bristol will be a social hub offering the best in food, drink and music, with free entry all the time – even on New Year’s Eve.

Acclaimed DJs from the festival and burgeoning Bristol scene will provide the soundtrack in this bar designed with The Big Chill vibe in mind – a friendly space, with eye-catching artwork, original décor and an attention to comfort.

The bar will be open day and night, offering easy to share tapas dishes and guest menus from the festival’s reputed food stalls, alongside classic cocktails, beers, local ciders and a keenly researched wine list.

Katrina Larkin, co-founder of the Big Chill said: “It’s not a new home for Big Chill really, it’s more providing a roof for the many Big Chill artists and chillers from Bristol all year round. Plus it’s a lot closer for us than the London bars after a hard day in our festival fields”.

We’ll see you on the 9th!

any chance of a job please big chillers????

  2. Gareth Brock Says:

    Hi,

Would love to play out some chill out sets if you need to fill any slots.

I do have a full time job so would be unable to do daytime.

I’ve included my soundcloud address above if you wish to check out stuff I’ve done to date, eg roots reggae, 70s funk, ambient, abstract beats. Ignore the tek sets there which are probably not suitable.

    All the best
    Gareth

NB i have a decent valve PA that would be more than enough for a small venue
