Voting for the UK Festival Awards 2009 has now closed – we made it through to the second round of voting in the following categories;
Best medium-sized festival
Best dance event
We won’t know the results until the ceremony, on Thursday 19th November – wish us luck!
The UK Festival Awards 2009 have just been announced and we’re delighted that The Big Chill has been nominated in the following categories:
Best medium-sized festival
Best dance event
Best toilets
and you can also support some of the incredible artists who performed at this year’s festival by voting for them in the best headline act and critic’s choice categories;
Best headline act:

Winners are decided by public vote, so please pop along to www.festivalawards.com and vote for The Big Chill. Best of all, everyone who takes part in voting is eligible for the ultimate festival prize-draw to win 2 VIP tickets to every winning festival!
As per last year, voting takes place in 2 stages. This longlist round runs until 14th October. The final shortlists will then be revealed and you can vote again for the final winners.
Voting concludes on 4th November with the winners announced at the gala ceremony which returns to the IndigO2 in London on Thursday 16th November.

the best organised, cleanest, friendliest and accessible festival. nothing compares to the fun loving spirit of this festival. dance to trance, reaggy to soul and rock.

The big chill is quite simply the best festival in the UK! (and I’ve done my fair share of festivals!)

I always feel like I’ve “come home” when I’m there. The only down side is that I have to leave on the Monday!

Big Chill 2009 was fantastic, lucky with the weather, the music was great, liked the art trail more integrated in the festival, well done Alice. But!! THE LOO’s especially in family camping & some on site were not good. Bring back Andy Loo’s they did a fantastic job in 2008!
