Nimmo & The Gauntletts ‘Bandol Blues’
Founded by Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett hailing from North London and studying in Brighton, this double headed indie acoustic songwriting duo offer something different, refreshing and special when they perform live with their 5 piece band. They totally owned it at the Busking for SolarAid launch at The Big Chill House. Oddly for a female duo they have the feel of early Blur and the quirky songwriting skills of the Kooks. Quoted by all who see them as ones to watch for 2010 watch this space for news of their first release.

Lewis Floyd-Henry ‘Secret Gardens’
‘The unlikely hit of The Big Chill, Henry sets up in fields, armed with a guitar played with his teeth and tiny drum kit played with his feet. A one-man-band. Jimi Hendrix Experience. Possibly quite mad, but brilliant.’
Dave Simpson The Guardian
‘Others were convinced that the unbilled Lewis Floyd Henry was the ultimate highlight, a busking one-man band who played Stooges’ songs by the lake and a 20-minute version of Free’s “All Right Now” with a fuzzbox, tiny practice amp, toddler-sized drum kit and guitar solos played with his teeth’ -
Owen Adams The Independent 12.8.09
Lewis Floyd Henry had a busking spot beside the lake at this years Big Chill, you will remember him if you were there, in fact once seen he is impossible to forget. At the Big Chill House he ended his toothsome guitar solo with a back flip that sent his beer flying in time to the music - spectacular is the only way to describe his set. Born of teen parents in deepest darkest South London, Lewis spent his volatile childhood in and around Lewisham. Lewis studied art at Central St Martins after making a name for himself through graffiti which landed him with a criminal record. Lewis was a founding member of the group Kn0wn who took their name from his graffiti tag, a double DVD set of their work will be released soon. After many frustrating experiences with bands Lewis decided to set up his own one man band in a pram with amp, kit, guitar and microphone he made incredible progress this Summer on the radio and at all the festivals culminating in him signing to Adjust Recordings.
