Chris Coco signs to The Big Chill Label

December 4th, 2009 by sparky
fflg-final-for-webWe are delighted to announce that Chris Coco, the co-host of Radio 1’s Blue Room from 2002-2006, and the editor of DJ Magazine during the 1990s, has signed to The Big Chill Label and will make his debut release, the album ‘Feel Free Live Good’ on the label in 2010. When asked about signing to The Big Chill Label, Chris had this to say:
“Why did I want to work with Big Chill Recordings? Well, the synergy is obvious isn’t it? I have been playing at the festival since it was a little summer event in someone’s back garden. Well, not quite, but it’s always been a bit of a spiritual home for me and the Big Chill people have always been really appreciative and enjoyed what I do as a DJ and a producer. My new album, Feel Free Live Good, is a mixture of beach house, faux soundtrack, desert techno, airport lounge and multi-lingual electronica but it’s all ended up being pretty mellow (why does that always happen?). Anyhow, as it’s experimental and interesting and a really good listen it fits in with the Big Chill label aesthetic perfectly. It’s all part of my filthy evil plan to carry on playing and producing the most lovely future music that I can and then get it out to as many people as possible. With the clout of Big Chill Recordings combined with the fabulousness of Feel Free Live Good it’s up, up all the way from here.”

We can’t wait to share the terrific new music that Chris has been working on, but you’ll just have to wait a little bit longer! In the meantime, Chris has sent us a mix to share with you - just click here to download your copy!
