Fridays at the Big Chill House in March
February 23rd, 2010 by AbbyFriday night at the Big Chill House is a merrymaking night if you will. A get together, a bash and a night of A line-ups. Last month, The Big Chill Presents (a night dedicated to bringing you the finest music from around the world) welcomed Egyptian Lover. Oh what a night. This month The Big Chill Presents Radioclit, we will also be joined by Champion Sounds, a very Warm party on the 5th and last but not least Ou Est La Swimming Pool. All Friday nights are free before 10pm, £5 after.
Friday 5th March - WARM present MARK E, GERD JANSON, SIMON LEE, MOCK & TOOF, DISCO&CO RESIDENTS and WARM RESIDENTS
Warm continue their new bi-monthly residency at the Big Chill House in Kings Cross. Their March party will see them once again taking over both floors bringing together a complete cross range of artists from across the globe as well as from our own shores!
First of all we welcome a long-time friend of the Warm family, the slo-mo edit king himself, Mark E. For the past 5 years Mark has been crafting hypnotic, soulful disco cuts that have established him as an undisputed master of the genre. Tracks by Janet Jackson, Womack & Womack, and Grace Jones have all been given the Mark E treatment to stunning effect, with his edit of Jackson turning a little-known album track into one of 2007′s most talked about floor-fillers and raising the bar for what is expected from an edit. His forays into original production have been just as special, with releases on Under The Shade, Running Back, Endless Flight and his own label Merc showcasing the instantly recognisable Mark E sound.

Friday 12th March – Champion Sound
Champion Sound is a new occasional party taking in all styles of party music from dubstep to disco, this time with DJs Silkie, Greco Roman Soundsystem, Patchwork Pirates, Nicole and Abi (Soul Jazz) and live performances from Giacomo and Sam Sure. Valentina.

Friday 19th March - THE BIG CHILL PRESENTS… RADIOCLIT, DOC DANEEKA, GREENA, GIRL UNIT and OLIVER RANT
The Big Chill Presents the second instalment of this new monthly series, focused on bringing you some of the biggest and most exciting names in music. This month we are hitting spring so thought after a long hard winter we would give you something tropical!
Taking the lead role are RADIOCLIT; the London based DJ/production duo of Johan Karlberg and Etienne Tron, who call their brand of African beat driven house ‘ghettopop’
DOC DANEEKA is second on the bill. A fast-rising star, The DOC has just had his latest single DRUMS IN THE DEEP featured on FABRIC’S ELEVATOR MUSIC VOL 1 earmarking him for very big things. Add to this killer remixes of DELPHIC and DIGITAL MYSTIKZ and the fact his remix edit of GATTO VIOLA made GILLES PETERSON’s 2009 winners list, we’re very proud to be getting this man down!
Supporting we have three of London’s most exciting new talents, first up 23-year-old Londoner GREENA is the new master of genre busting! Next up South Londoner Philip aka GIRL UNIT creates perfect Tropical house, there for he is the perfect pea for this pod. Rounding up the line up we have OLIVER RANT formerly one half of the duo Crystal Death Oliver has gone solo with an old school rave slant on everything from electro house and tech step
