The Green Tent Company
March 31st, 2010 by sparky
Here at The Big Chill Festival we are very excited to announce the arrival of The Green Tent Company.
Each year we are faced with the mammoth task of cleaning up the fields which are usually strewn with huge amounts of used camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags and camper mats.
A vast majority of the tents left by festival goers end up going straight to landfill because a traditional tent is made up of many different components such as fibre glass poles, nylon zips and metal pegs which makes them un-economical to separate for recycling.
We at Big Chill HQ are working closely with The Green Tent Company who are the first company in the world to design a stylish, competitively priced tent range made solely from one product and incorporating a new peg system which prevents them from being left in the ground all with one focus of being environmentally and festival friendly.
Their ground breaking range starts with a 2 man dome tent and is topped by a deluxe 6 man, 3 bedroom version which is tall enough to stand up in. They have even manufactured their sleeping bags and camping mats from the same single product making them more festival friendly.
So if you’re going to be purchasing a new tent for this year’s Big Chill festival please visit www.thegreententcompany.co.uk and help us to reduce our carbon footprint, thus saving the planet.

Or just don’t leave your tents behind you lazy selfish people who obviously have too much money and think other people are there to clean up after you!
But the tents sound great

I hope this becomes a solution, not just another part of the problem..

You guys have it lucky! Leeds Fest is literally just as full of tents when it finishes as when it’s going, it’s appalling and the litter is ridiculous. There’s always room for improvement at Big Chill, but just thank God you’re not at Leeds. What kind of loser would want to go there anyway though?

Guys,
Call the local/National Scout group to collect the tents, they would be grateful. All packs of Beavers, Cubs & Scouts could make very good use of them. No worries about land fill there. scouts.org.uk/fundraising/
