Joining Joy Orbison for his Big Chill Presents debut on April 23rd will be Altered Natives, a north London born producer and DJ who’s been expressing himself through drum abuse and perverting genres…

1. For those that don’t know – give us a brief introduction to who you are and what you do:

My name is dannyNATIVE, I produce under the name “Altered Natives”. I produce and dabble in a lot of genres as I find its the only way I can write freely. I also do a weekly radio show on vulive.co.uk where you can hear all my latest work first alongside unreleased material from other up and coming artists and a few you may know.

2. The best thing about what you do is…

Receiving genuine appreciation, it really makes up for what we do, as well as the money of course, haha! Emails from random places around the world where someone has found your music is a good feeling, especially in places you would never imagine.

3. What are your current top 5 tracks?

Zed Bias’s To the Leff Instrumental, Roska’s Squaark track on Rinse Recordings, this piece called Squallor from new talent to watch At-One, Slaughter Mobs Heebie Jeebies track from there forthcoming album and a track from a producer called Grayz titled Dubskank.

4. What are you working on at present?

A few remixes, my “artist” artist album. Just the usual really, everything is constant production wise.

5. Finally, you’re playing soon at Big Chill Presents, what can our crowd expect from you?

Well I’m going to be playing pretty much a production set out of everything I make, so expect to hear a bit of everything. I’m looking forward to it.
