The Deer Park stage, set against a beautiful backdrop of lakes and rolling hills, will play host to…

untitled-7The legendary Radiohead frontman, Thom Yorke, who released his brilliant debut album ‘Eraser’ to much acclaim, scoring top five chart positions on both sides of the Atlantic, will be bringing his rapturously received solo show to The Big Chill. Famously, Yorke does not perform many live shows, so it’s a real privilege to welcome him to the Deer Park Stage on Friday night.

Indie-electro popsters Metronomy are known for their highly choreographed stage routines (and sometimes for wearing giant lightbulb costumes). The band has remixed and supported some of the biggest names in indie-electro music and have recently added Lightspeed Champion drummer, Anna Prior, to their line-up.

Formed in a Libyan refugee camp in 1979, Tinariwen have been refining their unique fusion of Toureg folk songs with electric guitars ever since then, as they made their way from the wild empty places of the Sahara, to the concert stages of the world.

The transatlantic indie band, Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions, who are comprised of Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, and Colm Ó Cíosóig, founding member of My Bloody Valentine, will be making their Big Chill debut this year.

Tom Middleton - a firm Big Chill favourite, we’re thrilled to announce that Tom will be performing not once, but twice this year! You’ll be able to catch Tom on our new outdoor dance stage, Starburst, as well as treating us to a rare performance of his Big Chill Label album, ‘Lifetracks’ in Lazyland - you can read more about this further down the page.

A DJ with a versatile style and unique sound all his own, Maurice Fulton’s skills on three turntables are virtually unmatched which, combined with his selection of garage classics and today’s underground dance music, always leaves the crowd screaming for more.

A thoughtful singer with integrity, Natty draws on his childhood influences of the two Bobs (Marley and Dylan) to create an intelligent take on what it is to be young and living in the inner city today, bringing a streetwise take to a reggae sensibility.

Bristol Hi-Fi featuring Daddy G, Bristol stalwart Queen Bee, mash-up maestro Mr Benn and mic-master Souls Liberation. Together, they’re a crack team responsible for moving party people’s feet everywhere with their reggae basslines and hip-hop beats!

Blow your wig to the boogie-woogie beat, get your glad rags on, grab your duke or duchess and get down to where to the finest jump jams with Fat 45. Its not sweet, its sweaty, it ain’t fragrant… it ain’t nothing but a party!

Tate Britain presents ‘Rude Britannia: British Comic Art’

In summer 2010, Tate Britain will collaborate with a host of comic talent to present ‘Rude Britannia: British Comic Art’, a ground-breaking exhibition about the role of humour in British visual culture. As a part of this celebration of comic imagery, Tate Britain & Rude Britannia will also be venturing out of their usual Millbank location for a special weekend of activity at The Big Chill Festival. Expect an exclusive collaborative programme, co-curated by Cedar Lewisohn (Tate) and Katrina Larkin (The Big Chill), featuring…
