We’ve got a monster event coming up over the weekend of Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd May – The How’s My Raving? Weekender - set to take place at The Big Chill Bar on Friday night, before carrying on at The Big Chill House on Saturday!

Day one sees us welcome a legend in his own right Errorsmith, who performs an exclusive London set. Part of Berlin’s Hard Wax clique that has spawned Smith N Hack, Soundstream, Sound Hack & MMM – his recent podcast for Clubbing In Spain was definitely the best we heard last year! Expect anything from Mr Ozio, Todd Edwards and even Caspa. Keeping the party bubblin’ hot we welcome garage-legend Wookie, who recently shed said garage skin in favour of a rather tasty house coating… we can’t wait to check this out and if we’re lucky he may even throw in a few garage classics!

Headlining day two we find Drexciya’s official assault DJ – DJ Stingray. No idea who he is? Well, expect hard electro played by a Detroit powerhouse wearing a balaclava – it’s not everyday you’ll have that pleasure. A man who has consistently avoided the mainstream to create a musical world of his own for over two decades and also a member of Urban Tribe who are any techno obsessive’s wet dream – who’s other members include Carl Craig, Anthony Shakir and Kenny Dixon Jnr AKA Moodymann. DJ Stingray is legendary for his super loud, super fast, super song electro spectaculars and his 2 hour set will not disappoint.

Next up on the bill is Man Recordings head honcho Daniel Haaksman flying in live and direct from Berlin. Expect the finest baile funk, tropical house and techno. And let’s not forget the UKG Crew – we all know garage is back, big time, and are we bored yet? Hell no! El-B is a post UKG / pre-dubstep superstar and some might say the inspiration for the current ‘future garage’ scene that’s so very de jour right now. Last but not least we welcome one of the hottest up n coming producers in the UK right now GonGon who’s forthcoming single ‘I Could Be There’ on Well Rounded has been on the HMR? VIP office stereo non- stop since we first heard it.

Both days will see the How’s My Raving? Crew in full effect. Who are they? No one knows (or probably cares…). Rumour on the street is they’re two street urchins hailing from Dickensian times who’ve been thrown through a time warp into the 21st century. Other’s say its Disco of Doom and Hot City, sprayin’ out the funk, but one thing is for sure, when they go large, ripples are felt in Taiwan. Expect a special Stay Up For Ever classics set, old skool, tropical bass and hard electro and whatever else can be found online.
