The Pamper Lounge
The Pamper Lounge makes it’s debut at The Big Chill 2010 and is sure to be every girls new BFF with the arrival of its fabulous Hairdressing service! Forgotten your Dry Shampoo? Don’t panic! The Pamper Lounge has fully trained professional hair stylists on hand to sort out all your festival hair dilemmas. Treat yourself to a Hair Wash and Style (£20) and give your hair-hiding hat/wig to someone less fortunate (and smug) than yourself.
And for the head-hurting, welly-weary festival goer in need of a little extra TLC, The Pamper Lounge specialises in that ‘sweep you off your feet’ feeling with the divine Pamper Hour (£30) – a combination of mini treatments designed for maximum effect! Claim a little bit of sanctuary in a private treatment room and bliss out with this toe-to-top experience of foot soak, scrub and massage followed by a back, neck & shoulder massage and finishing with an essential facial.
For those seeking something a little more specific they offer Tailored Time (£40). Full facials, Full body massages, Indian head massage, Reflexology, Lymph drainage massage, Osteopathy, Aromatherapy, Reiki, Manicures and Pedicures are all available upon request. Either devote your time to one particular treatment or pick and mix to create your ideal experience. This service is subject to availability (ie, it’s best to book in advance to get exactly what you want!)
Then when you’ve reached nirvana you’ll be invited to come back down to earth gently in the lounge; curl up on the sofa, sink into a squishy cushion and enjoy a nice cuppa with a slice of homemade cake. Ahhh.

Sauna
The Lost Horizons Sauna Spa, Cafe and Solar Stage travelling troupe will be landing in the Body and Soul area in 2010! The sauna is a specially converted Mongolian yurt. The wood-burning stove uses volcanic stones and water to create steam. Essential oils are used for their healing and relaxing properties. The healing garden chill out space includes a yurt for your belongings, a relaxing tipi, hot and cold showers and a cold plunge. Fluffy clean and dry towels and available, as is a solar powered mobile phone charging.
The organic vegetarian cafe is open so long as we are. Serving locally sourced, nutritionally balanced and delicious hot food, cakes and freshly brewed chai. The garden chill out space includes a yurt for your belongings.
The team is always ready and willing to be of assistance in any way we can, our ethic is service and fun. The sauna is cleaned twice daily as hygiene is of the utmost importance to us.
For those who are wishing to clean up after a big night in the field, they will be on the go early, providing a demand-led late night til early hours service!
Pottery
Flying Potter returns to the Big Chill’s Body and Soul area this year!
Clay is a fantastic medium to work with. It’s a natural material, universally inclusive and reacts to the touch, no matter how slight the intervention. Everybody can do it – everybody achieves!
Engage mind, body & soul and experience the theraputic benefits of making a pot on the potter’s wheel. Artist Jon Williams from Eastnor Pottery will be offering 1/2 hr sessions throughout the festival. There will be x4, foot powered, kick wheels for participants to work on – fantastic activity for individuals and small groups.
Take your masterpiece away to paint at home or leave it with Jon and he’ll fire, glaze and pop your creation in the post.
