We grabbed five minutes with Fallen to find out what we can expect when he heads to our favourite East London watering hole next week…

Hello Fallen! For those who don’t know you, please tell us a little bit about yourself…

Hello. Amongst other things I work as a content manager for online music radio station samurai.fm and am now starting to DJ and produce under the name Fallen

Are you bummed out not to be in Barcelona for Sonar this summer?

I am actually. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities and it’s properly going off there when Sonar is in town. I’m fortunate to have been to Sonar a few times before both for work and pleasure but I’m always sad to miss out. There are some great looking off Sonar parties this year too including the heavyweight Numbers event at Razzmatazz on Sunday.

Complete this sentence – London in the summer is great because…

There’s just so much going on. If we’re lucky to get a bit of sun it seems to really affect everyone’s mood and there’s a real buzz about town. Although come rain or shine there are some superb events and festivals worth hitting up.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m pretty close to finishing my first EP and once that’s done and dusted I’ll be concentrating on securing some more dates over the summer and representing the station. We’ve got some excellent content lined up for samurai.fm and the site is going from strength to strength with some pretty advanced features on the horizon. We also hope to be putting on some more events in and around London in the coming months.

What can we expect from you at our So Not Barcelona event?

Expect a bumpy and enjoyable ride through the bass genres taking in my love of house, techno, garage and dubstep with plenty of woozy and wonky moments underpinned by more traditionally straight beats.
