Friday: John and Jehn on the Clash Stage
August 7th, 2010 by sparky
Handsome John and his even handsomer other half Jehn played two sets today, the second in the early evening at the Tree Stage. Their sexual prowess and hold over their spectators has garnered a cult following over the last few years, though they are still relatively unknown outside of their home, Paris (of course).
Aside from the couple’s smouldering looks and onstage magnetism, the songs themselves speak volumes of the casual arrogance the duo give off. Tales of love, hate and vampirism are amongst the themes John and Jehn explore in a post-punk, lo-fi haze of wondrous sound. They cite their influences as Velvet Underground and the comparison is fair but these two are seemingly in a league of their own.

they are NOT from Paris (of course) but from Angouleme.
