Saturday: Mount Kimbie on the Clash Stage

Mount Kimbie a.k.a Dominic Maker and Kai Campos from Peckham, who have been creating a serious buzz with the release of their debut album ‘Crooks & Lovers’ last month, played late on Saturday night wowing the
small crowd with their intense post-dubstep/ambient sound.
The haunting and organic new track “Before I Move Off” brought everything to a stand still but then the crowd was abruptly jolted back to life with an electrically charged and heavily layered beat. They played their slow track ‘Maybes’ from their debut 12″ EP (released on Scuba’s label Hotflush Recordings) with waves of Mogwai-esque sudden guitar which, along with the rest of the short
yet intense set, struck the audience with their unique and unorthodox structure of sound. Believe the hype!
