Opening ceremony for The Enchanted Garden

The Enchanted Garden celebrated the start of The Big Chill 2011 this evening with an opening ceremony on The Birdcage Stage. Representing five elements or spirits, the event reflects the relaxed vibe of the festival.
Performers enacted the elements of fire, water, earth and air through the mediums of circus tricks, percussion and dance. The final element, the spirit of ‘us’, was represented by spectators cheering together before the stage was filled with people singing along to The Beatles’ classic ‘All You Need Is Love’.
