The track that gets your ‘bass face’ on:
Recently Alpha by Bambounou has the meanest most hypnotic and and surreal sub bass. I know when people talk about having a bassface they are generally referencing very bad wobbly and loud dubstep but when we used that word for the title of our EP we wanted to give it a more subtle, vicious connotation, like frequencies you can barely ear because they are so low, but which affect your nerves or your brain or something, without you even noticing it.
The most fun you’ve has as a DJ:
Everytime i play in Loft/Razzmatazz, Barcelona. Spanish people party hard and late so the peak time is around 4am which enables you to start hard then go deeper throughout the set, it’s really fun. At 6 o clock the club is still full and people are super wasted dancing valse to funky deep house jams, with mad love in the air
The nicest compliment you’ve received:
Recently in L.A a girl who didn’t know who i was recognized my voice and said “hey you’re the guy from the Sound Pellegrino podcast”. That was really cool. She didn’t have a clue who the hell Teki Latex was but she knew the guy from the Sound Pellegrino podcast. Makes me proud of what i have achieved with SP.
The greatest challenge you’ve faced:
Surviving the Tower Of Terror at Disneyland Paris. Don’t laugh if you haven’t been in it.
If I wasn’t a DJ, I would be…
A) Writing a guide of Parisian restaurants
B) Writing a guide of zoos and aquariums from around the world
C) designing 3D theme park rides from a contemporary art point of view (i might actually really do it one day)
