After another extremely busy festival season, Pete has managed to return to the studio for long enough to finish one of his strongest compositions to date. 'Musical Box' is something of a winter's fairytale, a calm and detached journey across a frozen snow-covered landscape, punctuated by its haunting glockenspiel theme, simplistic rhythm box and live horns.

Label mate Bruce 'Alucidnation' Bickerton turns up the dub heat for his own bouncy re-interpretation, adding string pads, vocals and gently skanking guitar for another lucid classic.

Man of the moment, Berliner Ulrich Schnauss pushes things to the outer reaches with his excursion on the version, going for full-on aural gymnastics (headphone listeners beware!), phase shifting and trademark wide-screen production as he processes the glockenspiel riff backwards, adds awesome sub bass and sound effects before the drums come in for a final closing salvo.
