CINEMA COMPETITION

Cinema Competition

The Screen on Baker Street, has, since 1984, screened a mix of major studio and independent films from around the world.

For many years it was the home of late-night screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture show.

The intimate 2-screen cinema has now had a 21st century makeover to both screens, with luxurious staggered seating from Quinette Gallay in Paris, loads of leg room, soft fabric acoustic wall panelling, customised top quality Wilton carpet, subtle mood lighting and a striking new purple colour scheme with paint decoration by Farrow & Ball and John Oliver.

The café/bar has also had paint over and is still a great place to meet before the film. It sells a range of designer beers, top quality wines from Bibendum, cappuccino latte and espresso, Byron Bay Cookies, Loseley, Green & Black’s and Haagen-Dazs ice cream, Organic Honey Popcorn, freshly made salted popcorn and a full range of confectionery and soft drinks.

All alcoholic drinks can be taken into the two auditoria so customers don’t have to rush down their drinks before the film starts.

To celebrate the new purple colour scheme, the cinema has offered a pair of tickets to visitors to bigchill.net

The draw for the competition has taken place and the winners will be notified by email on Tuesday, 11th October 2005.
