Fat Freddy's Drop - Live In London
This year Christmas is all about... heavyweight music from New Zealand!Kiwi crowd-rocking dubsters Fat Freddy's Drop were one of this year's hits at the festival, and they're back in the UK for a Christmas Extravaganza at Hammersmith Palais Tuesday 13th December.
The gig will be rounding off an amazing year for the band. One which saw them clean up at the New Zealand Music Awards taking home 4 gongs including, Best Album, Best Group, Best Aotearoa Roots Album and the prestigious People's Choice award. The group also sold out shows all over the globe.
Fat Freddy's Drop will be launching their second single 'Wandering Eye' from their massive debut album ' Based On A True Story '.
The single is a great example of their hybrid style, fusing elements of soul, funk and reggae, creating an amalgamation that sounds like Outkast meeting Roy Ayers in a South Pacific discotheque with Norman Cook on the wheels of steel.
With Support coming from another Eastnor hit - the one-man blues band Son Of Dave - and DJs Tubbs and Vee this will be the Christmas gig spreading some serious Aotearoa Christmas cheer.
