A phenomenon in its own right, the bar has been servicing the residents and tourists to London's Brick Lane with a stylish, sociable hangout ever since it opened in August 2005. BACKGROUND
The Big Chill festival is an annual event that takes place in Eastnor Deer Park. The Big Chill Bar and The Big Chill House are bars/venues located in London. There is also a label, Big Chill Recordings and festival/podcast radio Big Chill Radio.
Founders Pete Lawrence and Katrina Larkin started The Big Chill Sunday Social all dayers at the Union Chapel Islington in 1994, so The Big Chill was 13 years old this year in 2007. Note, the first outdoor Big Chill festival took place at The Black Mountains, Wales in 1995, making the festival itself 12 years old in 2007. Pete is the music programmer, and a DJ and radio presenter with a weekly show on Chill Radio (DAB).
