Buzz Rozwell - Artist Profile
Buzz Rozwell operates from the heart of Upstairs Recordings. He creates all things visual for the record label and its artists and is largely responsible for communicating the sound and vision of Upstairs to the outside world. Never satisfied with solely visual pursuits, Rozwell has always blended his unique visual style with the sounds of modern music. As Upstairs Soundsystem's resident DJ, Rozwell has held down the monthly residency in Vancouver for past two-and-a-half years and played the ever growing Big Chill festival for the past 4 years running: Greece 2002, Eastnor 2003, 2004, and in 2005 teamed with the lovely Laura B [Big Chill Rec.] for a 3-hour afterhours ambient downtempo set. Buzz's sets are never predictable but always flowing, deep, and eclectic.Expect to hear beautiful music hand picked from the Upstairs label and from a wide variety of genres.
