Bluescreen - Artist Profile
Bluescreen has been running out of the Cube Cinema, Bristol for the last 5 years. Now it's run as a monthly event, due to the increasing high volumes of films that are received.Helmed by long term Cube Cinema volunteers, Steve & Chris, both have worked long and hard to produce the event, for local filmmakers of any experience to showcase their films.
Bluescreen is an open film event, offering filmmakers the chance to bring their films along on the night. Hardly any films are received before the event begins and none are censored. The mix of films makes for an interesting and engaging event, whereby drama sits beside animation, music video and art films alike.
Bluescreen have extended their film arm to local musicians too. 'Bluescreen hi-fi' regularly showcases the work of local musicians in the bar at bluescreen events.
Bluescreen have compiled a number of films for screenings at various film/music festivals in the UK over the last few years and aim to cross the waters to Europe and possibly beyond! Thereby offering the chance to Bristol filmmakers to get their work to be seen far and wide.
