Jigsawmusic - Artist Profile
Jigsawmusic are Woody, Rich G and David James. They run the Jigsawmusic night in Birmingham (which was nominated for Club of the Year 2005 on Gilles Peterson's Radio 1 Worldwide show) and regularly take the Jigsawmusic sound around the country and beyond.The last few years have seen Jigsawmusic appearances at Faith, the Electric Chair, the Big Chill (in the 5,000 person club tent), Notting Hill Carnival, Scuba, Beachbombing, Warm/Sonar Kollectiv and many of the smaller nights around the UK as well as Djing in New York, Barcelona, Amseterdam, Estonia & Portugal.
Musically, Jigsawmusic is as diverse as the headline DJs that they regularly appear alongside - the Idjut Boys, Metro Area, Larry Heard, Norman Jay, IG Culture, Domu, Gilles Peterson... Expect to hear disco, deep house, broken beat and anything in-between that's got soul.
2005 also saw the launch of the label Jiscomusic and the first release (Mark E - Scared) has gone interstellar with huge DJ support from the likes of Ashley Beedle, Jazzanova and the Unabombers they have also just started a Dj agency www.jigsawdjs.com.
