Meet the Compères... Digger

Meet The Compères... Digger

What's your day job?
I'm a Project Manager for an online share trading company in the City.

When and where was your BC compère debut?
This is my first BC compéring job! But I have compéred at BakedBeats, an event run by a fellow Big Chiller Bella, aka Popt_art.

What stage are you on?
I'm on the Open Air Stage on Sunday.

What are you looking forward to on your stage?
All of it! But I'm really excited about José Gonzales and Mozez who has got to be one of the most laidback, soulful singers I've seen. And since I'm doing Sunday, how could I not be excited or overwhelmed about meeting Norman Jay?? The man's a legend!

If all else fails…
I certainly won't be telling my Dad's rubbish jokes, even if he thinks they're funny! But I don't think you can tell people quite enough times to put their litter in the bin, wear sun-cream if it's hot, drink plenty of water and flush the toilets after using them!

My personal Big Chill highlight so far has been…
Being a part of something that quite literally changed my life. Since Enchanted Garden 2000 I have tried to go to everything The Big Chill puts on. I love the feeling of community, the quality and diversity of the music and the dedication to making the festivals a delight for the eyes as well as the ears. But my highlight so far has to be playing with the other Daft Pink ladies in the Strongbow tent at last year's festival. The sun came out and the atmosphere was fantastic. We felt like we had all the fun!

Top festival tip?
Get a decent rain cape, one of those ones that doubles up as a groundsheet. If it rains, you won't care, and if it's sunny you'll have something to sit on! And they fold up really small to fit in your daypack! Uninterrupted fun, whatever the weather!

Lastly, I'm not posh, I’m…
A proper Yorkshire Lass.
