Meet The Compères...
Yes boys and girls, it’s time to show some love to your compères for The Big Chill festival weekend. Invited by Pete and Katrina as the Open-Air, Castle, Sanctuary and Village Green hosts and hostesses, these dozen presenter MCs are responsible for springing forth vibes of joy to help you (and your neighbour) enjoy unifying, high-spirited musical experiences.The compéres come from all walks of life, all corners of the UK and Europe. Their day jobs range from curating London’s ICA to promoting bands and presenting on TV and Radio. Some have years of Big Chill stage experience, including Sunflower Kate and Nettie (who also run the ever-popular Open Dex monthly at the Big Chill Bar in London), while others are newcomers to the The Big Chill compere mic, including Nick Luscombe and Soyo.
So, who’s got the best slot? Could it be Digger whose Sunday stint means she faces 10,000-plus waving their arms at Norman Jay? Or TV & Radio presenter Sunflower Kate (aka Nurse Ratchett for this interview!) who gets to warmly welcome Coldcut back to The Big Chill throng. Or would you agree with Stuart Barthel that Tonto's Expanding Head Band is the one to get really excitable about?

wow, all looks great - Digger that photo of you is gorgeous!
at the risk of being told off for being boring, Rui, you might want to change compére to compère - it should be a grave accent. I know it's a little thing but having it the wrong way round is worse I think than not having it on at all - and because it's repeated so many times it looks (to me) a little amateurish.

i know. eagle-eyed christine spotted it this morning. i copy & pasted the same one to every article. wouldn't mind but i had them all written up without accents, and then spent half an hour C&Ping each one (there's a few of them across a few different articles) - only to find out later the accent is the wrong way round.
bloody accents. there's a reason i stopped writing in portuguese...
i'll have a go at fixing them all later tonight - please accept my apologies in the meantime.
