Mr Lip
Having begun his musical journey during the lager days of big beat circa 1997, DJ Lip confesses to have grown up listening to "whatever decent music I could get my hands on". He goes on "this equates to whatever decent music found its way to the musical wasteland that is Lincolnshire". Lip soon ventured north to Newcastle where he attempted to ween the student population off drum and bass and onto something a little more groovy.Since migrating to the smoke back in 2003, DJ Lip has immersed himself in the London scene, promoting various nights in North London haunts and DJing alongside the likes of Mark Rae, Riton, 1gnition, Boy 8-Bit. He spins at his own monthly Living In A Disco night and currently joins the dots between beats, pieces, basslines, electro-funk and "generally party records to make folk move".
Non music interests include; bagels, cereals, bananas and general breakfast fare, making shit happen, people with a vibe, people with a soul, beach days, city nights, dizzy heights etc etc.
Of his set at The Big Chill, DJ Lip says 'Expect to hear a healthy portion of downtempo fare thrown in the mix too.'
