Albums of the Year 2006 - The Results

Albums Of The Year 2006 - The Results

All the votes are in, the stat-monkeys have looked at the figures through magnifying glasses and telescopes and we can now announce the results of The Big Chill 2006 Album of the Year poll. What a great year 2006 was for music...

The results show that, more than ever, Big Chillers are defined by their love for all good music - irrespective of genre. Votes were spread amongst a variety of styles, taking the top ten artist albums from big name electronica and downtempo (Nathan Fake, Thom Yorke, Bonobo, Gotan Project), through out-and-out dance music (Hot Chip & Trentemoller) all the way to indie rock (Arctic Monkeys).

Pete Lawrence comments; 'It's good to see Big Chillers tastes broadening more than ever in the most exciting year for new music for a while.'

The biggest albums all polled such similar numbers of votes that they are all winners, so in a change to previous years, this year we are announcing the Top Ten in alphabetical order...
