Biggabush
Glyn “Bigga” Bush is a past master at genre-blending both in his DJ sets and his own musical productions. He has remixed a host of artists including Boozoo Bajou, Tosca, Ella Ftizgerald, Mark Rae and Tony Allen. The latest project is a new album from his alter-ego Lightning Head, due out in September on Lion Head recordings. This is the follow up to 2002’s “Studio Don” (Best Seven/Sonar Kollektiv) and as well as heavy dub flavours takes in afrobeat and funk with live horns, guitars and Bigga’s trademark polyrhythmic percussion. Expect to hear new collaborations with Earl Zinger, the Slits’ Ari Up, Blanquito Man (Up Bustle & Out) and NYC rapper Candice Cannabis.
