Halloween Society Presents
Halloween began in London in 1994 as a short film club. It has since grown into a major short film festival showcasing up-and-coming UK talent alongside live and multi-media events at the ICA and Curzon Soho, and 2008 will see it re-branded at The London Short Film Festival. Run Wrake - VJ set Remixing The Past
Run has had worldwide multi-award winning festival success with his 2006 animate! commission RABBIT, and is also known for his close collaborations with Howie B’s U2 world tour support. Here he re-visits his RABBIT success to mix with his own personal film footage of his growing up years.
Max Hattler - VJ set Remixing The Past
Max looks to his parents 1970’s communal lifestyle in Germany and particularly at his father’s success in Krautrock band Kraan. Kraan will also provide the prog rock and free jazz soundtrack to this super-8 journey into a hippie ideal for living as we’re taken on a sun-speckled journey into the fields and woods of a rural commune.
Zan Lyons - live Manga remix
Neo-classical electronica artiste and filmmaker Zan Lyons brings a live soundtrack spectacle, as he meets Mamoru Oshii's 2004 animated Japanese classic ‘Ghost In The Shell: Innocence’ for a remix session of spectacular anime visuals of robot women.
Destricted/Shooting People (over 18’s) - short films
In 2006 Destricted was set up to explore where art and pornography meet, and director Larry Clark invited members of the Shooting People film website to upload their own contributions which challenge the line between art and porn. The winners and runners up will be screened tonight.
Lectric Lady & the International Love Collective presents The Den of Desire
An exploration into erotic desire shown through the eyes of lovers. Journey through their fantasies with the guidance of our mistress of the night, and bear witness to many sordid, and sensitive ideas of love, lust, passion, and pain, all experienced through light, movement, music and video, with an international cast of dancers, musicians, and videomakers
