Lifetracks

Lifetracks

Tom Middleton has created his debut solo album, and the agenda is, quite simply, pure emotions in sound.

Moonbathing in Cornwall initiated the whole soundtracks to life idea back in ’98. Each track represents an inspirational journey, experience or location. Beats and grooves rooted in funk, rock and jazz with rich string arrangements underpinned by cyclical Steve Reich style motifs.

Tom cites Vangelis, Morricone, Barry, Metheny, Eno, U2, and Massive Attack’s arranger Craig Armstrong as inspirations. Lyrical melodies and warm harmonies are the key to his music. Epic instrumental widescreen music for those who dare to dance in cinemas.

'Lifetracks' is a logical progression from Tom and Mark Pritchard's seminal Global Communication work.

Tom calls The Big Chill 'the spiritual home of my solo, live, musical projects', so it's only fitting that his début solo album 'Lifetracks', is released on Big Chill Recordings.

Lifetracks by Tom Middleton is out now on Big Chill Recordings
